IDS Imaging : U3-31J0CP Rev.2.2
Description
The industrial camera U3-31J0CP Rev.2.2 features a distinctive housing of only 29 x 29 mm and is equipped with the square Sony Pregius S CMOS sensor IMX546. It offers 8.13 MP resolution and achieves 49.0 fps. This fourth-generation sensor combines Global Shutter and BSI (Backside Illumination) technology, which help to image moving objects without distortion and increase the sensor’s sensitivity to light. Since the pixel size is only 2.74 µm, the available area of the 2/3″ sensor (aspect ratio of 1:1) is utilized to the fullest – for superior image quality even in changing light conditions.
Thanks to its USB3 vision interface, the industrial camera is uncompromisingly compliant to the Vision Standard and can therefore be conveniently used with our IDS peak SDK.
The uEye+ CP camera is available as a monochrome or color version.

Applications
Agricultural applications
In the agricultural sector, cameras e.g. monitor plant growth, control the application of fertilisers or inspect the harvest.
Biotechnology and life sciences
Image processing can be used, for example, to analyze living organisms and biological processes - from swarm behaviour to cell division.
Machine vision
Industrial image processing is used in a wide variety of applications - from quality assurance to automation.
Medical technology (and laboratory automation)
Image processing is indispensable in medical technology. For instance, IDS cameras provide data for diagnostic purposes in ophthalmology or dentistry.
Metrology
IDS cameras detect objects and provide accurate information, such as their dimensions or positioning.
Surface inspection
IDS cameras detect cracks, irregularities or other processing defects in optical quality assurance.
