IDS Imaging : U3-31R0CP Rev.2.2
Description
Whether quality control or visualization: This compact 24.55 MP industrial camera with USB3 interface delivers 16.0 fps and keeps a very close eye on every detail! The 1.2″ Global Shutter CMOS sensor IMX540 has an impressive resolution of 5328 x 4608 px (pixel size 2.74 µm). It is one of the fourth generation sensors in the Sony Pregius S series, also known as the Sony series 2.7 – excellent image quality for demanding applications is therefore a matter of course.
As the U3-31R0CP Rev.2.2 is particularly sensitive to light, it is also suitable for use in low-light conditions. The integrated BSI technology (“Back Side Illuminated”) clearly shows its strengths here.
The camera, which measures just 29 x 29 x 29 mm, is available as a monochrome and color version. We recommend using it in combination with our versatile IDS peak SDK.
The power consumption may exceed the usual USB3 values. It is possible that the camera cannot be operated on every system. The frame rate can be reduced if necessary.

Applications
Document scanning
Efficient capture of document content, for example for documentation or process automation.
Electronics inspection
Cameras can check the geometry of printed circuit boards, detect the presence and absence of components as well as dirt and inspect solder joints.
Machine vision
Industrial image processing is used in a wide variety of applications - from quality assurance to automation.
Metrology
IDS cameras detect objects and provide accurate information, such as their dimensions or positioning.
Pharma and healthcare
By using cameras, it is possible to check e.g. whether packaging is correctly filled and printed or whether there are any impurities.
Quality assurance
IDS cameras are used in different production phases, e.g. by checking completeness or by detecting defects.
