IDS Imaging : U3-3860CP Rev.2.2
Description
Optimized at cost and yet fast, the light-sensitive rolling shutter sensor IMX290 from the Sony STARVIS series with BSI technology (“back-side-illumination”) impresses with outstanding image quality with precise color separation and ensures true-to-original image reproduction even under poor or unsteady lighting conditions. With its very high sensitivity in the near infrared range, the sensor in the USB3 Vision industrial camera U3-3860CP Rev.2.2 is an attractive alternative to special NIR cameras – with a frame rate of up to 135 fps at 2.12 MP (1936 x 1096 px). The small 1/2.8″ sensor format offers a wide selection of cost-effective lenses. The U3-3860CP Rev.2.2 is a small all-rounder in the 2 MP rolling shutter industrial camera class. With line scan mode and long-time exposure of up to 120.0 s, it is suitable for almost any application.
The U3-3860CP Rev.2.2 is available in both monochrome and color variants.
This camera model is supported by IDS Vision firmware 2.20 and higher.

Applications
Endless web inspection
Whether steel, paper or fabrics - IDS cameras always keep an eye on their test object and detect, for example, material defects or stains.
Inspection applications
IDS cameras can be used to check for completeness or material defects and to detect defects or bar/matrix codes.
Logistics
Cameras are indispensable in the logistics sector - e.g. for (de-)palletizing tasks, sorting tasks or in autonomous vehicles.
Machine vision
Industrial image processing is used in a wide variety of applications - from quality assurance to automation.
Medical technology (and laboratory automation)
Image processing is indispensable in medical technology. For instance, IDS cameras provide data for diagnostic purposes in ophthalmology or dentistry.
