IDS Imaging : U3-3880CP Rev.2.2
Description
The USB3 Vision industrial camera U3-3880CP Rev.2.2 with the rolling shutter CMOS sensor Sony IMX178 offers a very high resolution of 6.41 MP (3088 x 2076 px px), which is ideal for visualization tasks in microscopy and as a cost-efficient option for intelligent traffic monitoring systems (ITS). The sensor from the Sony STARVIS series features BSI technology (“back-side-illumination”) and is one of the most light-sensitive sensors with a low dark current close to the SCMOS range (Scientific CMOS). It provides impressive results even under extremely low light conditions. In combination with our USB3 Vision industrial cameras, the Sony IMX178 delivers frame rates of up to 59.0 fps at full resolution. Thanks to the 1/1.8″ sensor size, a wide range of C-mount lenses is available for the U3-3880CP Rev.2.2 camera model.Special functions include 60.0 s long exposure and the linescan mode for using the area scan camera as a cost-effective line scan camera alternative.
The U3-3880CP Rev.2.2 is available in both monochrome and color variants.
This camera model is supported by IDS Vision firmware 2.20 and higher.

Applications
Astronomy
Reach for the stars with IDS cameras - image processing shows information that is difficult or impossible for humans to grasp.
Machine vision
Industrial image processing is used in a wide variety of applications - from quality assurance to automation.
Medical technology (and laboratory automation)
Image processing is indispensable in medical technology. For instance, IDS cameras provide data for diagnostic purposes in ophthalmology or dentistry.
Metrology
IDS cameras detect objects and provide accurate information, such as their dimensions or positioning.
Traffic and transport (ITS)
Keeping an eye on everything - IDS cameras recognize vehicles, check the traffic flow or help with rail and road inspections.
