IDS Imaging : GV-5240FA Rev.1.2
Description
The GV-5240FA Rev.1.2 is a particularly powerful industrial camera with the e2v 1.31 MP CMOS sensor. This is one of the most sensitive sensors in the IDS product portfolio and it is available in monochrome, color (EV76C560ABT/EV76C560ACT), and as NIR version (EV76C661ABT). The sensor offers an outstanding sensitivity to light in CCD quality. The PoE version also provides two additional general purpose I/Os (GPIOs). The power supply is provided by the screw-on, dust proof and splash water proof M12 circular connector.

Applications
3D-Scanning
The depth information of 3D images provides valuable data - for example for dentistry, back or foot measurement.
Astronomy
Reach for the stars with IDS cameras - image processing shows information that is difficult or impossible for humans to grasp.
Endless web inspection
Whether steel, paper or fabrics - IDS cameras always keep an eye on their test object and detect, for example, material defects or stains.
Factory / process automation
Cameras are used in monitoring, control, regulation and optimization systems and help e.g. with localization and selection tasks.
Gesture and eye tracking
Whether for research or entertainment: IDS cameras can be used to track eye movements and gestures, for example.
Machine vision
Industrial image processing is used in a wide variety of applications - from quality assurance to automation.
Medical technology (and laboratory automation)
Image processing is indispensable in medical technology. For instance, IDS cameras provide data for diagnostic purposes in ophthalmology or dentistry.
Monitoring
Image processing can be used, for example, to record visitor numbers and customer behavior and carry out entrance controls.
Quality assurance
IDS cameras are used in different production phases, e.g. by checking completeness or by detecting defects.
Traffic and transport (ITS)
Keeping an eye on everything - IDS cameras recognize vehicles, check the traffic flow or help with rail and road inspections.
