IDS Imaging : U3-3862LE VU Rev.1.2
Description
Optimised at cost and yet fast, the light-sensitive rolling shutter sensor IMX290 from the Sony STARVIS series with BSI technology (“back-side-illumination”) impresses with outstanding image quality with precise colour separation and ensures true-to-original image reproduction even under poor or unsteady lighting conditions. With its very high sensitivity in the near infrared range, the sensor in the USB3 Vision industrial camera U3-3862LE VU Rev.1.2 is an attractive alternative to special NIR cameras – with a frame rate of up to 135 fps at 2.12 MP (1936 x 1096 px). The small 1/2.8″ sensor format offers a wide selection of cost-effective lenses. The U3-3862LE VU Rev.1.2 is a small all-rounder in the 2 MP rolling shutter industrial camera class.
Special functions such as long-time exposure also extend the range of possible applications.
The U3-3862LE VU Rev.1.2 is available in both monochrome and colour variants.
The board-level versions are available with vertical (-VU) or horizontal orientation of the USB Type-C connector.

Applications
Endless web inspection
Whether steel, paper or fabrics - IDS cameras always keep an eye on their test object and detect, for example, material defects or stains.
Inspection applications
IDS cameras can be used to check for completeness or material defects and to detect defects or bar/matrix codes.
Logistics
Cameras are indispensable in the logistics sector - e.g. for (de-)palletizing tasks, sorting tasks or in autonomous vehicles.
Machine vision
Industrial image processing is used in a wide variety of applications - from quality assurance to automation.
Medical technology (and laboratory automation)
Image processing is indispensable in medical technology. For instance, IDS cameras provide data for diagnostic purposes in ophthalmology or dentistry.
