IDS Imaging : UI-5251LE Rev.1.2
Description
The UI-5251LE with the e2v CMOS sensor with 2 megapixel resolution is an especially high-performance and versatile industrial camera (EV76C570). It has one of the most sensitive sensors in the IDS product portfolio and it is available in monochrome and color versions. Besides its outstanding sensitivity to light in CCD quality, the camera also has a range of other distinctive features: The sensor allows you to switch between various shutter modes, which allow you to capture sharp images of moving objects or extremely low-noise, high-contrast images. There are also up to four areas of interest (AOI). You can use these either to check several features simultaneously or to capture AOIs in a sequence of exposures using a wide range of different parameters.

Applications
3D-Scanning
The depth information of 3D images provides valuable data - for example for dentistry, back or foot measurement.
Astronomy
Reach for the stars with IDS cameras - image processing shows information that is difficult or impossible for humans to grasp.
Gesture and eye tracking
Whether for research or entertainment: IDS cameras can be used to track eye movements and gestures, for example.
Machine vision
Industrial image processing is used in a wide variety of applications - from quality assurance to automation.
Mechanical engineering
From inspection on the production line to controlling entire systems - camera technology helps to ensure smooth processes.
Medical technology (and laboratory automation)
Image processing is indispensable in medical technology. For instance, IDS cameras provide data for diagnostic purposes in ophthalmology or dentistry.
Monitoring
Image processing can be used, for example, to record visitor numbers and customer behavior and carry out entrance controls.
Quality assurance
IDS cameras are used in different production phases, e.g. by checking completeness or by detecting defects.
Small device construction
Compact and powerful - IDS cameras can be easily integrated into small devices such as handheld scanners or other portable systems.
Traffic and transport (ITS)
Keeping an eye on everything - IDS cameras recognize vehicles, check the traffic flow or help with rail and road inspections.
