IDS Imaging : UI-5200FA Rev.1.2
Description
The UI-5200FA Rev.1.2 GigE industrial camera with the large area 12.34 MP CMOS sensor IMX304 delivers sensationally clear, noiseless images in a resolution of 4104 x 3006 px pixels. The global shutter sensor of the second, further improved pixel generation from Sony’s Pregius series is impressive for its incredible dynamic range and very high sensitivity, especially for use in medical or measuring technology and traffic surveillance. Special functions implemented by IDS, such as long time exposure up to 30 seconds or line scan mode further expand its range of possible applications.
The UI-5200FA Rev.1.2 is available in both monochrome and color variants.

Applications
Agricultural applications
In the agricultural sector, cameras e.g. monitor plant growth, control the application of fertilisers or inspect the harvest.
Biotechnology and life sciences
Image processing can be used, for example, to analyze living organisms and biological processes - from swarm behaviour to cell division.
Factory / process automation
Cameras are used in monitoring, control, regulation and optimization systems and help e.g. with localization and selection tasks.
Food & beverage
To ensure the highest food quality - camera technology e.g. detects contaminants and helps with sorting tasks and fill level monitoring.
Machine vision
Industrial image processing is used in a wide variety of applications - from quality assurance to automation.
Mechanical engineering
From inspection on the production line to controlling entire systems - camera technology helps to ensure smooth processes.
Medical technology (and laboratory automation)
Image processing is indispensable in medical technology. For instance, IDS cameras provide data for diagnostic purposes in ophthalmology or dentistry.
