IDS Imaging : UI-5270FA Rev.1.2
Description
Our UI-5270FA industrial camera provides outstanding images and features a Sony IMX265 global shutter CMOS sensor – probably the best CMOS image sensor in the 3 megapixel class in terms of dynamic range, light sensitivity, and linearity. At full resolution of 2045 x 1542 pixels, the ethernet camera achieves frame rates of 36 fps. The reduced pixel size of 3.45 µm allows more pixels in a smaller optical format. As a result, a very large choice of compact, cost-effective lenses is available for the 1/1.8″ sensor. The IDS Software Suite provides special sensor functions, such as line scan mode enabling the camera to be used as a cost-effective alternative to line scan cameras.

Applications
Biotechnology and life sciences
Image processing can be used, for example, to analyze living organisms and biological processes - from swarm behaviour to cell division.
Electronics inspection
Cameras can check the geometry of printed circuit boards, detect the presence and absence of components as well as dirt and inspect solder joints.
Factory / process automation
Cameras are used in monitoring, control, regulation and optimization systems and help e.g. with localization and selection tasks.
Inspection applications
IDS cameras can be used to check for completeness or material defects and to detect defects or bar/matrix codes.
Machine vision
Industrial image processing is used in a wide variety of applications - from quality assurance to automation.
Mechanical engineering
From inspection on the production line to controlling entire systems - camera technology helps to ensure smooth processes.
Medical technology (and laboratory automation)
Image processing is indispensable in medical technology. For instance, IDS cameras provide data for diagnostic purposes in ophthalmology or dentistry.
Metrology
IDS cameras detect objects and provide accurate information, such as their dimensions or positioning.
Pharma and healthcare
By using cameras, it is possible to check e.g. whether packaging is correctly filled and printed or whether there are any impurities.
Traffic and transport (ITS)
Keeping an eye on everything - IDS cameras recognize vehicles, check the traffic flow or help with rail and road inspections.
