Description
The MVP-PVS14TM32-E17 PVS-14TM 320×240 60Hz Thermal Monocular from Morovision comes with a 17mm lens and is well-suited for close-range targeting and observations in daylight or pitch darkness. This compact thermal imaging device features the same form factor as the PVS-14 night vision monocular. Like the PVS-14, this thermal imager has a lightweight polymer housing that is sealed for waterproof and dustproof performance. Additionally, the PVS-14TM is compatible with almost all PVS-14 accessories. An included J-arm mounting adapter and head strap allows the PVS-14TM to be attached to a helmet or head gear.
This configuration of the PVS-14TM has a 320×240 microbolometer core; combined with the included 17mm lens, the monocular transmits a 24×18 angle of view. The VOx heat detector has 50mK sensitivity, capable of distinguishing subtle temperature differences and creating a well-defined thermal image. Unlike other optical devices, thermal imagers can see through fog, dust, daylight, and darkness to reveal subjects of interest. This detector’s 60Hz refresh rate captures real time images without the lag and choppiness seen in slower imaging devices. The PVS-14TM is equipped with a composite video output, which allows the image to be transmitted at full-resolution to video monitors and recording devices.
