Description
The MBP-100PD P2/P2HD Format MXF Clip Server/Baseband Converter from For-A is a 1 RU video clip server equipped with 2 HD-SDI video inputs and 4 HD-SDI video outputs. Equipped with a 128GB SSD, the server records and plays your MXF files compatible with Panasonic P2/P2HD equipment such as DVCPRO HD, DVCPRO50, DVCPRO camcorders. The recorded clips can be transferred or saved over Gigabit Ethernet. This server handles up to 8 channels of embedded audio and can be used in a variety of applications including ingest, playback, and even program playout using a playout system.
The built-in control software enables standalone operation when the unit is connected to a mouse and PC monitor or touch-panel interface. The rugged and compact 1 RU vibration-resistant case is suitable for off-site and in-vehicle applications.

MBP-100PD features include:
- Equipped with 2 x HD/SD-SDI video inputs and 4 x HD-SDI video outputs, and supports conversion between baseband signals and MXF files (ingest applications)
- Even during video recording or playback, clips can be added over the network; no time lost for switching disks or media (seamless operation)
- Supports up to 8 channels of embedded audio

- Can be used as a clip server providing database-driven management of video clips and playout programs, in conjunction with the MediaConcierge media management system

- Can be controlled remotely over a network by installing the software for remote operation on a PC (sold separately), in addition to standalone operation

- Transfer MXF files (produced or edited in nonlinear systems) over the network to the MBP for conversion and output as HD/SD-SDI baseband signals
